Dr. Mehrotra is also the Inventor and Principal Investigator of an Air Force Materials Laboratory Phase II SBIR program for the development of "NUVU" and "NUVU-IR" technologies and NDI instruments for inspecting aged aircraft subassemblies and nuclear plants. These instruments are based on the principles of infrared thermography and optical imaging. Dr. Mehrotra holds three US patents in this technology area; three European patents are pending.
